Have We Entered a
Cosmic Bowling Alley?

Uncertainty about comet’s fate
Also in July 2000, on the 12th of that month, there was the report from “inside sources”, never confirmed but still there, that there had been a
strange ‘hump’ in the orbit of Venus. It could have been caused by the passage of Phobos, then assumed to be on the way to Earth after meeting
76P in June, via a close passage by the Sun inside the orbit of Venus. This may still be the case, be it with a far more complex orbit than presumed
then. This, because even though the date of Nov 12, 2000 suggested there passed of course without an impact or close flyby, so far there has been no
re-acquisition of Phobos orbiting the planet Mars nor any proof of the comet 76P still to exist.

76P Sighting Rumor Debunked
“A report was recently distributed on the Internet stating that 76P had been observed in January. The report had gone through a multitude of mail relays and lacked a specific source of the
information so Glen Deen, a member of the
YOWUSA Mars SIG, researched the report. He confirmed that this rumor was both
false and misleading. Given this, and the suspicious nature of the cover-ups about the recent Northern Ireland sightings, the troubling questions about the June 5, 2000 76P flyby of Mars remain.”
“At present, only NASA possess the ability to reacquire 76P, which most likely means that the current status of this comet will remain a mystery until 2006, unless Carl or someone like
Carl can gain access to a larger scope.”
“But between now and June 15th, how many more sightings like those in Northern Ireland will occur? And, could they represent the leading edge a larger debris field? “
Mars will be in favorable position for viewing again only next month, so the jury will be out on that a little while longer still. And until Mars is viewed again
Phobos may be anywhere. Something impacted Mars though or flew by close enough to stir up a tremendous amount of dust from its surface, that is what was observed on photo material.
Comet Linear C/2001 A2 brightens suddenly
More recently, in March 2001, Comet Linear A2 turned much brighter than expected in a week’s time, though closer observation learned it had not fallen apart.
First there were the ephemeris numbers, based upon the first acquisition data and calculated orbital data.
Then observations came in from around the world, showing the comet brighter than expected by up to 6 magnitudes! This could not then and cannot now be explained by statistical error, something’s up.

What happened to the comet then? Was it hit perhaps? If so, what was it hit by?
Jupiter unleashes bright flash
Two weeks ago on April 13, 2001, a bright flash was detected near the North Pole of Jupiter. It was attributed to Polar or Northern Lights taking
place on a massive scale (Earth sized within minutes) on the largest planet of the system. But was that what it was?
BBC News, April 12 2001
Jupiter's 'northern lights'
“Astronomers have witnessed the first auroral flare ever seen on Jupiter.

The light show grew to the size of the Earth in 70 seconds
The dramatic flare occurred while they were watching Jupiter's north pole through the Hubble Space Telescope. “
“Scientists believe that the eerie glow near Jupiter's poles is also caused by interactions between electrons and the planet's atmosphere, but the electrons come from Jupiter and not the solar
wind.
Some believe that the electrons originally come from volcanoes on Jupiter's moon Io.”
Fact is, scientists do not know right now what took place there. It is even conceivable that an impact of some sort took place. And a question all along this stream of events is, why is the
current Solar maximum so incredibly violent, unleashing the
biggest flare on record?
Statistics have shown impact events to be closely related to higher Sun
activity, but is the reverse true also? Could a swarm of rocks make the Sun go nuts around this peak of her activity cycle?
The question imposes itself, why keep information like this concealed from the public eye? Could there be a hidden reason for that? We have
suspected so ever since the events started to unfold, but could only scarcely find any evidence and then still were not sure whether or not this would bear
any relationship to the previous events. This is beginning to change now.
Solar activity and Sun-grazers are soaring
If we take a closer look at some events taking place on the Sun and on Earth, we see that there is increased activity since over a year. There is
ample footage of small comets plunging into the Sun along the polar axes.
Images of this are coming in almost weekly, and good examples can be seen at the
image gallery of the
Solar and Heliospheric Observatory or SOHO, the most recent being of April 27, 2001. A series of photographs taken by this
satellite shows a comet being obliterated while approaching the Sun from the South. The photo below dates from almost a year ago, the end of April 2000.
Fireball sightings on the rise, more and bigger
Much closer to Earth, on Earth actually, the increase of sightings of fireballs and meteorites hitting the ground is also remarkable. Countless sightings
were reported of bright green fireballs with orange-colored tails traveling from West to East generally, and occur just after Sunset. I witnessed one of
these fireballs with my own eyes back in October 2000. These are fireballs ‘catching up’, they approach the moving Earth from ‘behind’, so they must
have been coming in with great speed as opposed to the Solar system to overtake Earth from behind. Or, the Solar system as a whole is flying into a steady cloud of debris with considerable speed, enough to make them
catch up with us as we rotate around the Sun.
But bigger, more spectacular events were reported. There was a fiery object coming down from the sky in Northern Ireland. Information supply was cut off almost immediately.

Impact Over Northern Ireland --
Hoax or Government Cover-up?
“On February 13th, 2001, a strange airplane crash was observed by in the
Southwest corner of Northern Ireland, less than a mile away from the border with the Republic of Ireland. There was no airplane, but despite credible witnesses of what may have been an
impact event, the story was quickly squashed as a genuine mistake, and then as a hoax. The manner in which this story was squashed with slashing
diminutives begs the question: If this is indeed a cover-up, then why?”
“And then, a dark blanket was cast over over the whole event; and officials discarded it as a ‘genuine error’. That may or may not have been the truth, or the full extent of it at least but one
thing is for certain -- it killed the story.
The appearance of a quick-paced cover-up raises the possiblity that there is more to this story than meets the eye. In other words, the event itself was insignificant at face value, but a
brief look below the surface tells otherwise.”
To cut the information to the outside is illogical to do if there is nothing special at hand. The events in Northern Ireland must have worried some
people to such extent, that they decided to keep it covered until they could investigate more thoroughly.
An article in the
LA times (article no longer available online) covered
another impact viewed by dozens of people from Santa Barbara to Sherman Oaks along the Californian coastline.
About 30 people from Santa Barbara to Marina del Rey called U.S. Coast Guard and law enforcement officials about 8:20 p.m.
Crews in boats and helicopters equipped with infrared scopes were sent to search for crash debris in Los Angeles Harbor and Marina del Rey, but they found nothing.
Paramedic Robert Johnson saw the brilliant burst of light in Sherman Oaks while sitting around a bonfire with fellow firefighters.
"I could see how people thought it was a plane," he said. "There were flames coming out, but they were green and large.
"This thing was hot and just going before it disappeared below the horizon," he said. "I thought it was going to crash into something."
