Jeavons is the author of the widely popular how-to book, How to Grow More Vegetables and Fruits (and Fruits, Nuts, Berries, Grains, and Other Crops) Than You Ever Thought Possible on Less Land Than You Can Imagine. He sees a malnourished future made horrific by adverse climate change and genetically modified seeds. Americans can barely imagine what it means to eat mud pies like Haitians do, or to simply wither away like the millions of victims of war and greed in Africa. Yet we say "there for the grace of God go I."
