We live in an age where there is absolutely no reason
why anyone should ever be uninformed. Yet, there clearly appears to be a massive campaign of disinformation regarding Nibiru (Planet X). One could argued, “How could this be? Never before has the
human race enjoyed such a rich and diverse menu of information sources. It is a veritable fountain from which we can draw information, and this fountain has
never flowed so rich!” Yet, despite the claim that periodicals, books, newspapers, broadcast media and the Internet offer a wealth of information to “a well
informed public” the simple fact is that these very same information outlets have become disinformation outlets as well for those who prefer to bury their
collective heads in the sand. Regardless of what you think, it will not change the orbit of Nibiru.
Disinformation – the Bodyguard of Lies
Journalist Eric Rouleau may have said it best. Writing last year in the French opinion magazine, Le Monde Diplomatique, he said, “All governments
pursue a disinformation policy under the rubric of communication. Governments spread unverified rumors, half-truths and lies. ... Disinformation has its rules.”
British Prime Minister Winston Churchill once
wrote, “... truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies". These words may well have been a prophetic statement of the situation today, as we come ever closer to an event
that may well usher in major Earth changes. As George Gross and James Grover write in their Alpha Institute Bulletin, Planet X and the Coming Earth Changes, “There is a sufficient quantity of
evidence from a number of scientific and historical disciplines, particularly from the application of plasma physics to the study of the solar system, but
also from the geological record of planetary catastrophes and magnetic polar shifts, to make it virtually inconceivable that there will not be major
Earth changes with in a matter of months or, at most, within a year or two.”
If this information is so massive, then why isn’t it more widely known? Perhaps it is because this bodyguard of lies, which has taken the form of “Disinformation,” has surrounded it.
Sometimes the source is accurately acknowledged (this might be called "overt" disinformation), but sometimes it is concealed by
providing no identification or by providing misleading identification (call this "covert"). The quantity and quality of disinformation may be difficult to judge,
but it should be viewed more or less on a par with acts of lying, but where the motives that usually bring about lying (to preserve a relationship, to conceal
an affair, to secure a loan, and such) are displaced by other, often political, motives, aims, or goals.
Unchecked Disinformation
With regard to Nibiru, it has become increasing apparent that with each piece of information that is leaked, released without comment, or by some
other method made public, the is almost immediately a bodyguard of lies that attempt to surround and contain any serious consideration of this information. As case in point is the release of a 2003 Pentagon
commissioned study on the ramifications of An Abrupt Climate Change Scenario and Its Implications for United States National Security, by Peter Schwartz and Doug Randall of a California based think tank.
The purpose of this report is to imagine the unthinkable—to push the boundaries of current research on climate change so we may better understand the potential implications on United States national security.
We have interviewed leading climate change scientists, conducted additional research, and reviewed several iterations of the scenario with these experts. The
scientists support this project, but caution that the scenario depicted is extreme in two fundamental ways. First, they suggest the occurrences we outline would most likely happen in a few regions, rather than
globally. Second, they say the magnitude of the event may be considerably smaller.
We have created a climate change scenario that although
not the most likely, is plausible, and would challenge United States national security in ways that should be considered immediately."
This public report, prepared by GBN for the Department
of Defense, has been the subject of several news stories. Fortune magazine excerpted the report in its Feb. 9, 2004, issue ("The Pentagon's Weather Nightmare
," by David Stipp). The actual report, titled "An Abrupt Climate Change Scenario and Its Implications for United States National Security," was written by Peter
Schwartz (GBN chairman) and Doug Randall (co-head of GBN's consulting practice) and is attached here in its PDF version. Contrary to some recent media coverage, the report was not secret, suppressed or predictive.
While according to the GBN site, the report was not “secret, suppressed, or predictive” it was however spun, whitewashed and sanitized by a subsequent flood of widely distributed articles to reduce its impact and
importance.
Partly how it works is if a firestorm about the inflammatory information begins to ignite, by the time the second wave of interested people gets hold of it
many end up reading the sanitized version. They then yawn and go back to sleep. The people who read the original versions then wonder why the
information didn't catch on with the rest of the interested population.”
Types of Disinformation
It becomes increasing important to understand what comprises disinformation. In his treatise on the topic, Fetzer identifies five main types or levels of disinformation.
1. Apparent Incompetence
“The first level of disinformation might equally well be characterized as apparent incompetence by someone who assumes the task of offering
criticism but for which he is not well positioned to provide. This may be due to any number of factors, including lack of mental acumen,
specific misunderstandings or lack of familiarity with relevant evidence (simple ignorance). Since none of us knows all there is to know about
anything especially in relation to complex and contentious matters such as the assassination of JFK it can be difficult to resist the
temptation to describe those with whom you disagree as falling into this category. Of course, they might say the same thing about you. The problem thus becomes one of sorting things out to arrive at
reasonable judgments.
2. Deflective Logic
The second level of disinformation occurs when relevant available evidence that ought to make a difference to a conclusion, hypothesis or conjecture under examination is simply dismissed or ignored.
EVIDENCE IS RELEVANT when its presence or absence (physical evidence) or its truth or falsity (testimonial) makes a difference to the truth or falsity of the point at issue. RATIONALITY OF BELIEF occurs
when we distribute our strength of belief in proportion to degrees of support supplied by available relevant evidence. Since this kind of disinformation is a violation therefore, it may qualify as
IRRATIONALITY OF BELIEF. On the other hand, irrationality of belief may be displayed in pursuit of RATIONALITY OF ACTION as a means
that is appropriate to attain a particular aim, objective or goal. Such behavior has the appearance of tenaciously defending a view REGARDLESS of the evidence.
3. Kill the Messenger
The third level of disinformation occurs by abusing the man (AD HOMINEM) in attacking the author or the editor of a work on irrelevant or misleading grounds that have little or nothing to do with the position
the author or editor represents. A recent example involved an attack from someone identified only by an email alias "dxmivi" on the ground
that several of my books are published by a company owned by the Moonies. This is an outstanding example of the classic smear by character assassination.
4. Ignore the Elephant Standing in the Middle of the Room
The fourth level of disinformation appears to occur, not when a work (a book or an article) is being written from scratch, but in creating a highly
biased impression of a study by simply IGNORING its most significant, important, or relevant features to mislead others about the contents of
the work, which is another form of SPECIAL PLEADING. Notice that someone unfamiliar with the work which, in this instance, is
ASSASSINATION SCIENCE would not be in the position to realize that they were being duped.
5. Deflect and Fabricate
The fifth level of disinformation appears to occur when a source presents information that has been deliberately selected to misrepresent, distort or abuse sources with the intention to mislead.
Citing only evidence that is favorable to one side as if no contrary evidence exists is known as SPECIAL PLEADING. The key aspect of
fifth degree efforts is creating usually by writing entire new works (books and article), because of which it has the character of
FABRICATING EVIDENCE. Thus viewed, a work of this kind qualifies as a "hoax.”
If we can consider Dr. Fetzer’s classifications of disinformation to be accurate, then we are seeing an all out campaign to quash, discredit, dilute
and trivialize any and all critically pertinent information regarding Nibiru. The concept that this campaign of disinformation is being orchestrated by
elements in our government seems to be the most popular idea has been widely circulated on the web. While this is still in the realm of “guilt by implication,” it may well turn out to be well grounded in fact.
The late New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, in
his book Secrecy, The American Experience wrote, “In the United States, secrecy is an institution of the administrative state that developed during the great
conflicts of the twentieth century. It is distinctive primarily in that it is all but unexamined. There is a formidable literature on regulation of the public mode, virtually none
on secrecy. Rather, there is a considerable literature, but it is mostly secret.”
Stewart Brand best known for founding, editing, and
publishing the Whole Earth Catalog adds, “Secrecy creates ignorance, and ignorance guarantees folly.” and on a more ominous note, according to Freedom Forum Ombudsman
Paul McMasters, “The Government's obsession with secrecy creates a citizen's obsession with conspiracy."
To what constructive purpose could this disinformation serve? That question I will leave for others to ponder, what has become increasingly apparent to
me is that the real danger in disinformation is that it may well be rooted self-delusion. While I cannot address the motivations of the disinformation
authors regarding Nibiru, there are many examples in the business world that may well apply and give us a clearer understanding of the problem.
In a 2000 piece for the Global Business Network, Peter Schwartz (Co-Author of the Pentagon report on Sudden Climate Changes) wrote:
“Companies assess the nature of strategic risk not as some objective reality, but rather through the subjective viewpoints of the decision-makers. ... So
how do decision-makers evaluate risk situations of great uncertainty? In large part, by engaging in collective self-delusion. They start out with a preferred scenario, the conventional wisdom, the
accepted view or the “official future.”
Schwartz goes on to say that:
“In scenario planning, it is important that planning staff who develop a set of possible futures for discussion ensure that the “official future” is included among them. Not until this initial scenario
is called into question,” he writes, “... through good research analysis and powerful new facts will decision-makers consider other possibilities among future options.”
If this second and critical process has, is or never will take place, we have at this point, no way to know and could only speculate.
We often received emails from people complaining about the mockery and abuse they receive from family, friends and co-workers when discussing this topic.
Our view is that this topic should never be introduced to others, until they demonstrate a geniune interest.
Nonetheless, those with a genuine interest in the topic will feel a natural urge to share their concerns about a possible threat to themselves and those close to them. Consequently, the most common questions they ask are, "where is Planet X, and what is the most likely worst case scenario?" GO
The Big Six Man-Made Catastrophic Scenarios for 2012 and Beyond — Survival Author Matthew Stein and Jacco van der Worp MSc
As moviegoers flock to see Sony's new 2012 film, critics, debunkers and cynics are spewing forth a flood of poison pen pronouncements.
Taken altogether, it is a bizarre twist on the Biblical story of Noah and the Flood — and with strikingly similar themes.
For those new to the topic of 2012, the film is great entertainment, but it also drives home an ancient failing of humanity. That the common folk are often the last to know, whether by their own choices or those made for them by wealthy and powerful elites. Ergo, many will never ask, "where will I be in 2012?" They'll just have enough time to ask, "My God, what's happening?" GO
