Will Mars Become a Planet X / Nibiru Flyby Safe Haven for Mankind?YOWUSA.COM, 21-February-03 …ContinuedDo we need a Martian Safe Haven?First, we need to question if we would need a safe haven at all. The intuitive answer to that question coming to mind is: yes, to preserve the survival of mankind. By any means or standard, it is a wise decision to spread out mankind across as many planets or even stellar systems as possible in order to ensure a lasting survival of the human species. It is simple survival theory. Any scientist will back that answer if you set aside the cost of the expedition. Think of the safe haven as a backup for Earth, a spare in case the ‘old one’ fails. That is good common sense. Right now, it just takes one ‘killer asteroid’ impact to wipe us all out; if we spread out across the universe, mankind would stand a far greater chance against a range of influences acting upon us without perishing by a single incident. Space.Com, October 20, 2002 HOUSTON -- The Russians are itching to send a human crew to Mars…and are miffed that NASA remains undecided on such an undertaking.
"We should be running scared in exploring the solar system with human beings. We should be running fast," Young emphasized. A former Gemini astronaut, Apollo 16 moonwalker and space shuttle commander, Young said chances are high that Earth will experience a "civilization-ending event" in the next 100 years. "The long term benefit of the human space exploration is saving that great gang that we all belong to…the human race. Exploration is about that…and we need to get on with it in a hurry," Young said. A question that springs to mind next is why Mars would make a better safe haven compared to other possibilities, such as our own Moon. The latter has been reached some time ago already and can be colonized at much smaller cost than Mars could ever be. The first thing you see when looking at the Moon is it is so close to us, speaking in terms of astronomy. A little over one lightsecond, no more; that is close, too close in fact. Whatever threatens good old planet Earth, will most likely also threaten the Moon! A cloud of space debris trailing a passing body may just as likely hit the Moon as the Earth. The motion picture, Armageddon, showed that in a good approximation a few years ago. That does not make the Moon an alternative for Earth. Mars is much further away and will in general not be affected by outside forces in the same way Earth will. At the very least the influence of a flyby of some celestial body will be different from the influence on Earth. And that is by itself a better chance of survival for us. If something as serious as Nibiru were to fly close to Earth, it will also fly close to the Moon, but not necessarily so close to Mars! Of course, this works the other way around, as well. An additional advantage of Mars above the Moon is that the Moon is a barren place; there is no water within reach, and water is necessary for sustaining life. On Mars water has been found, so even though it’s extremely cold, mankind could survive there with the technology we have. Oxygen can be gained from water and carbondioxyde that lies frozen on the poles of Mars, making our chances of surviving much greater if turning back to Earth would not be an option for a long time. Mars also has a day and night rhythm similar to the one we know. The Moon does not; it turns about its axis once every month, always facing Earth with the same side. A Home Away From Home
What We Need for SurvivalIf worst comes to worst and Earth would be devastated by a cosmic disaster, all that would be left of mankind would be the Mars colonists. It is an important question just how many of them would be needed to ensure survival biologically and what they would have to bring along to make it work in terms of animals and plants to live from.
Another thing is how people would be picked. Would there be some genetic selection? Might that be the real reason for creating a DNA database by governments instead of for the purpose of fighting crime? Selecting suitable candidate passengers for another ‘ark’ and send them over to Mars to start anew? And bring along the DNA of even more, to keep the population vital and prevent in-breeding. That is a chilling thought indeed. In addition, if catastrophe were to strike the Earth, making it all but uninhabitable for a long time, would there be people left alive on Earth afterwards? The questions above are questions to which there is no answer right now and if there is one, no one is telling us. What the Secrecy is AboutThere is a level of secrecy going around all that concerns Mars just as well as there is concerning Nibiru or Planet X; enough secrecy to warrant the introduction of a term for it: The Martian Connection. Several governments and religious organizations have been interested in a celestial event of gigantic proportions for decades, centuries, even millennia . There have been clues everywhere, but the most serious were to be found in Bible books or in astronomy. Bible books speak of a burning mountain cast into the sea and a fiery dragon crossing the sky (Book of Revelation), astronomy stumbled across a riddle when in the early 20th century, Clyde Tombaugh, when researching irregularities in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus and looking for a Planet X as Percival Lowell had named it, found planet Pluto. Dr. Clyde W. Tombaugh passed away on January 17, 1997 in his home in New Mexico. He was 90 years old. ***** In the period 1905 thru 1907, the first photographic search was made with a 5 inch lens having a useable field of 5 degrees along the Invariable Plane, which is inclined 1.6 degrees to the Ecliptic. Lowell scanned the pairs of plates by laying one plate over the other and using a hand magnifier. At that time, Pluto was outside of the search strip, and also too faint to be recorded. By carefully analyzing the residuals of Uranus, Lowell hoped to predict the position of Planet X in the sky -- namely Libra. In 1911, a photographic search was made with the 40-inch reflector, using exposures of ten minutes or less; but due to tangential coma, the field was limited to one degree. For other points of view regarding the search for the ninth planet, the reader is invited to read William Graves Hoyt's book Planets X and Pluto, published by The University of Arizona Press, 1981. As years passed by, the search went silent, but never stopped. The orbit irregularities were reasoned away by a “mass correction” to both planets. This of course can be an explanation only if the errors are in radial direction, so towards or away from the Sun, not ‘up’ or ‘down’. And this debate has been swept under the carpet since as well. A statistical investigation into comet orbits yielded that their orbit aphelia (furthest points out) are placed on a big ellipse around the Sun, that ellipse may well be the path of something heavy. Again, discredit and sweeping under the carpet were standard issue treatment. Even if hundreds of comets aligned, it was deemed insufficient for statistical evidence. It was as easy as stealing candy from a baby. If so far it sounds like a conspiracy theory to you, then hang on, as there’s more coming much closer to home. There probably is more to Mars than meets the eye. It forms the crux of this whole web of stories, legends, observations and predictions, all intertwined. Over the past few decades, Dr. Richard C. Hoagland has continuously researched our red neighbor, first while working for NASA, later on his own behalf. He ceaselessly points out that what the public is being told about Mars is less than the whole truth and sometimes even straight-out lie. You can read much of his work, a true wealth of information, on his web site called The Enterprise Mission. If you follow the links there to Martian imagery, you will find out what he and his team have been researching for years. A summary:
All in all, there is an extensive list of things that were brought out before the public that have been proven wrong since. It seems as if someone went to great length to hide something. There is another, possibly much more important, Martian connection to be looked at. It is an event that took place in June 2000: Comet 76P West -Kohoutek-Ikemura passed by Mars very closely. YOWUSA reported on it in a number of articles that focused on observations on Mars and on government action on Earth. We took a closer look at why there was so much inside attention for the fly-by if it really was a non-event. We also wondered why no one reported any more observations of this comet afterwards. Nor have there been any recent photographs taken of Mars; the most recent imagery just predates June 2000. We guessed about a possible resulting scenario of events threatening us on Earth, combining things even then with prophecies we knew could be pointing at that time. Over two years have passed since, and none of the events as portrayed then has come to pass. People lost attention as nothing exciting was reported any more. We recognize the clue for what it is, a clue to something buried deeper. What that something is, we haven’t found out yet. But our search hasn’t stopped. We didn’t receive any answers to our questions why the observation of the flyby planned for the Deep Space 1 mission went wrong at the very last moment. The satellite by a stroke of bad luck (…) went off-line during the period of rendezvous, then came back online by yet another stroke, of good luck this time (…). Any attempt at getting an answer to questions was just answered by arrogance as Marshall Masters noticed as he asked JPL for clear answers to simple questions when he was involved with The Millennium Group. |

John Young, Associate Director (Technical) for the Johnson
Space Center, said human exploration is the key to the future of the human race. Data regarding asteroid impacts and the threat from super volcanoes are worries for humanity, he emphasized.
What would be involved in creating a safe haven on Mars? There is a
basic minimum needed for survival anywhere for mankind. That minimum is food, water, breathable air and protection against a possibly nasty outside world. This nasty outside world could be a very low
atmospheric pressure, predators, bad weather, dust storms, frigid cold, anything you can think of that you would really not enjoy or might not survive. So a colony on Mars would have
to offer its inhabitants food, water, air and shelter. An example of such a colony on Earth is
Biosphere 2, a self-sustaining biotope, a closed system
built as an experiment in survival. It was designed to function without any contact to the outside world. Nothing inside is wasted, every resource is
recycled. And that makes it suitable for an unfriendly environment such as what Mars will undoubtedly offer us. 
Biologically speaking, somewhere between 10,000
and 100,000 people would be sufficient to preserve our genetic heritage. But hauling up to 100,000 people over to Mars after building them a place to live in does require some pretty massive logistics. There are too
many people to feasibly move in a decade as we haven’t really started yet right now. It would take at least half a century to achieve that if we pull together as a planet.
