Prophetic Warnings, Harbingers
of Present Catastrophic Trends

Present day world events continue to fulfill prophetic warnings of global catastrophe, as things seem to spin further and further out of control.  Over the last several years, we have seen uncommon weather patterns, strange and deadly new forms of disease and a sharp increase in the frequency and intensity of seismic activity, wars and the rumors of war.

When reading the headlines of today, secular and non-secular visionaries come to mind as the warning signs continue to unfold.  They warn of us Earth changes and of war, and how man is plunging headlong down a path toward a convergence of natural and man-made disasters into a destructive negative feedback loop of global proportions.

Two Very Different Harbingers –
One Common Future

Can these predicted catastrophes be avoided?  Surprisingly, the answer for most of these dire predictions is, "Yes." This article shall attempt to explain the reasons for working to avoid or reduce the magnitude of a predicted catastrophe, as well as how to do so.

Prophets and visionaries come from many beliefs, times and walks of like.  Amongst these are Mother Shipton and White Feather who come from entirely different cultures, times and continents.  Yet, their visions are being fulfilled at this very moment. 

To demonstrate how two visions separated by vast differences in time, culture and location, this article will begin with the visions of White Feather, a 20^th century Hopi elder. 

Hopi Prophecy According
To White Feather

The Hopi Indians of the American Southwest are an ancient indigenous culture that has endured far longer than Western Civilization can remember.  They are settled in the Four Corners area, where the state lines of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado meet. 

In the summer of 1958, a minister named David Young, was traveling through the four corners area, and gave a ride to a Hopi Elder by the name of White Feather.  During that ride, White Feather told him of an ancient Hopi prophecy dating back several generations.  Young documented the prophecy and several Methodist published a manuscript and Presbyterian churches in 1959.

Although he spoke of nine signs, I will include only the last three for the sake of brevity.  Two of the last three were fulfilled after 1958, but fulfillment of the ninth and last sign has not yet been determined.

White Feather

Today, many of the prophecies have turned to stories, and few are left -- the past grows longer, and the future grows shorter.

My people await Pahana, the lost White Brother, from the stars as do all our brothers in the land.  He will not be like the white men we know now, who are cruel and greedy. We were told of their coming long ago. But still we await Pahana.

As with the biblical prophecy that the “meek shall inherit the Earth,” the Hopi believe that the emergence to the future Fifth World has already begun, and that it will be made by humble people from little nations, tribes, and racial minorities.

This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.  (Oil spills) 

This is the Eighth Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like our people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn our ways and wisdom. (Hippies and Flower Children) 

And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash.  It will appear as a blue star.  Very soon after this, the ceremonies of the Hopi people will cease.

On March 23, 2001, the Russian space station Mir broke up in the atmosphere and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean.  A home to numerous cosmonauts and astronauts, it was heaviest artificial object to orbit Earth.  According to CNN eyewitness reports, it looked like blue star and shook the ground as it streaked through the skies above Australia before crashing into the Pacific Ocean.

However, the International Space Station, which replaced Mir, is supporting crew while still under construction.  The possibility exists that this may be the "dwelling-place in the heavens that shall fall with a great crash" and cause the ceremonies of the Hopi people to cease. 

White Feather 

These are the Signs that great destruction is here: The world shall rock to and fro.  The white man will battle people in other lands -- those who possessed the first light of wisdom.  There will be many columns of smoke and fire such as the white man has made in the deserts not far from here.  Those who stay and live in the places of the Hopi shall be safe.  Then there will be much to rebuild.  And soon, very soon afterward, Pahana will return.  He shall bring with him the dawn of the Fifth World.  He shall plant the seeds of his wisdom in our hearts.  Even now, the seeds are being planted.  These shall smooth the way to the Emergence into the Fifth World.

If the prophecies (of White Feather) are true, then the current turmoil in the Middle East and in the Taiwan Straits will lead us into a dreadful war and weapons of mass destruction will gravely wound America. 

According to historical records, an Ursula Sontheil who would later become known as Mother Shipton was born in 1488 in Norfolk, England, and burned at the stake in 1561 for witchcraft. Ursula was a kind, gentlewoman who married a humble English carpenter by the name of Toby Shipton and had six children by him.  It was during this time that she became known as Mother Shipton.  

Her visions were published some years ago by Nexus magazine as they appear in the historical archives in Australia, and many of her prophecies have come true. 

It is interesting to note, that in all her prophecies, Mother Shipton only mentions one specific date – 1926.

In nineteen hundred and twenty six
Build houses light of straw and sticks.
For then shall mighty wars be planned
And fire and sword shall sweep the land.

At first glance, 1926 is such an odd year for a prophecy.  After all, the Great Depression was still years away and America, France and England were enjoying a golden age of prosperity. 

However, in the quiet village of Berchtesgaden in the  German State of Bavaria, 1926 had a different meaning. 

In May of 1926, Hitler had finally overcome his rivals within the Nazi Party and then assumed the title of supreme leader – the Führer.  With his power now consolidated, Hitler would remain in Berchtesgaden from 1926 through 1929.  He described this time as the quiet years, because he spent his days gazing at the inspiring Bavarian mountains, as he laid the plans for the future glory of himself and his German Reich.

Looking to present times, Mother Shipton offers us another prophecy that may point to events now happening in our world.

Yet greater sign there be to see
As man nears latter century
Three sleeping mountains gather breath
And spew out mud, and ice and death.
And earthquakes swallow town and town,

In lands as yet to me unknown.

For the last several weeks, Italy’s Mount Etna has been smoking and the people living at 'ground zero' are growing anxious as scientists speculate that a huge pressure dome is building inside the volcano. 

If this huge pressure dome that some say is buidling inside Etna causes the volanco to erupt suddenly, the results could be as devastating as the Mount Saint Helens eruption on May 18, 1980. 

However, across the world in the Philippines, the crater of Mount Pinatubo is filling with water.  If those crater walls give way, the results could be a flood that will inundate nearby villages and cause the death of more than 2,000 people.

Could these natural phenomena be linked to the start of a terrible war in the Middle East or in the Taiwan Straits as Mother Shipton seems to be indicating below?

And nations sigh, yet nothing do
And yellow men great power gain
From mighty bear with whom they've lain.

These mighty tyrants will fail to do
They fail to split the world in two.
But from their acts a danger bred
An ague - leaving many dead.
And physics find no remedy
For this is worse than leprosy.
Oh many signs for all to see
The truth of this true prophecy.

On July 19, 2000, President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation and Chairman Jiang Zemin of the People's Republic of China signed a joint statement creating what Putin calls a “bi-polar” world with Russia and China leading an eastern hegemony and America and the European Union leading a western hegemony.  In their joint statement they say:

“We are satisfied with the progress of cooperation of Russia and China in the sphere of the maintenance of global strategic balance and stability.

Proceeding from relations of equal and confident partnership and strategic collaboration between them, Russia and China will carry on their close collaboration in the aforementioned sphere, and will develop their cooperation in other related spheres, acting in the framework of their international obligations, in the name of ensuring their own, regional and global security.”

Since signing this joint statement, Russia and China have become increasingly close as more agreements further cement their relationship.
