Update: UK Government Crop Circle Researcher Blames the Weather (03-September-03)
I recieved the following update from Maurice Osborn regarding the possibility that the extremes in weather this year account for the sudden disappearance of formations in England.
I am writing to share with you what I have learned
regarding the lack of crop formations in England since August 10, 2003. The distinguished researcher, Colin Andrews, wrote, “I don’t think there is anything sinister at all. The main reason is that the weather
in UK, much like other parts of the world is exceptional – the warm dry summer has meant a very early harvest and the harvesting of the fields in which the crop circles appear.”
However, this still does not explain why there were no more crop formations after August 10th when not all of the crop fields were gone until weeks later.
Not only were crops still standing in England after August 10th, but they were still standing elsewhere in the world, as formations continued to appear

Andrews supervised the largest surveiillance project of its kind during 1990, called Operation 'Blackbird'. It was an effort to film a crop circle forming, backed and
supported by the British Army, B.B.C. and Nippon television and was watched closely by the international media.
With specific regards to the possibility that weather is responsible for the disappearance of formations in England since August 10th, Mr. Andrews
clearly states that he “an electrical engineer by profession” and not a meteorologist (or a farmer for that matter.)

This crop circle story is getting more interesting by the minute. BTW, Colin has lost his credibility in my view when he never came up with the documentation to support his statement that 80% of the crop circles are
hoaxed. And to be connected to such a ridiculous movie called "Signs" is further evidence to me that he no longer has believable information. What a terrible movie that was. I think he sold out (ala Faust).

Well I have to admit. It certainly was news to me that the best paid crop circle researcher in the world worked on that cinematic abomination called Signs. Which I reviewed back in 2002.
While the critics may have loved it (which proves nothing), everyone in the audience walked out of the theater the moment the final credits began to roll. Out of curiosity, I turned at the door to look at the faces
of the other audience members as they streamed out. There was no excitement. Rather, they all looked as though they had been standing at home plate with a bat in hand and that nobody had bothered to pitch a ball to
them. They had come, like myself, hoping to see a realistic scenario and not brain-sucking 50’s era aliens that eventually melted like Wicked Witch of the West from the movie Oz – “I’m melting!” Frankly the
film should have been titled, Stuart Little Passes Kryptonite. That would have made sense.
I supposed that when you make as much money from crop circle research as Colin Andrews, the last thing you’d ever want to see is contact. After that,
crop circles would be passé and that no doubt that would stop the speculation from which has obviously prospered so very well.

When the 9-part chronology events as described above are viewed as a simple coincidence of unrelated and isolated events, then the conclusion to that logic must hold that all of this is much ado about nothing.
However, if one views the 9-part chronology events holistically through the lens of a strategic effort to covertly thwart a possible contact event in
England during this last crop circle season, then all of the piece fit perfectly in terms of a prima fascia case that can only lead to one conclusion — contact denied!
